MPI The Golden Sponor for FACE 1 PDF Print E-mail

MPI is the Golden Sponor for FACE1 - The Facial Aesthetic Conference of Egypt that will take place at the learning center at Cairo University from 28 - 30 March 2009. FACE I will cover different aspects of aesthetic surgery, both surgical and non surgical procedures that would help in the continuous medical education of both young as well as experienced doctors involved in the field of aesthetic surgery.

MPI as a Golden Sponsor of the Conference shall be participating in all the sessions as well as a dedicated session that will take place on the 30th March 2009 at 15:30 onwards introducing Macrolane and Vital Light.  MPI session will be conducted by Professor Dr. Khaled El Hoshy, our Vital KOL, and Dr. Hisham El Minawi, our Macrolane KOL.

The presentations for the workshop shall be available at the door of the workshop hall for participants to take. Also, MPI sponsored two of the visiting professors visits and created a website for the conference at http://www.face-eg.com that is being updated on daily basis for the conference.
 
Dermatology Conference, Cairo University (26th -27th of Feb.). PDF Print E-mail

On the 24 February 2009, MPI participated in a workshop on the side of the Dermatology Conference of Cairo University which was held from 26 - 28 February 2009.  The workshop was chaired by Dr. Tahera Leheita and Dr. Iman Ashmawy assisted in the Injection procedure.

Dr. Iman Ashmawy started the workshop by the presentation prepared by MPI about the range of Restylane products and the methods of injection.  Dr. Tahera and Dr. Iman excelled in injecting the Restylane ,  Perlane , Vital and Touch. The workshop was very effective, reinforcing and encouraging.

Patients were  satisfied with the result and pictures of before and after were taken. The workshop was attended by 24 doctors. 

 
 
Great News: Dr. Giovanni Salti in Cairo for two Workshops PDF Print E-mail

Medical Phoenix International is pleased to announce that Dr. Giovanni Salti will be visiting Cairo to conduct two workshops with the new lines of products from Q-Med: Vital Light Pen Injector and Macrolane.

The Vital Light Pen Injector will take place at Le Pacha 1901 on Thursday 5 March 2009 at 18:00 and shall be attended by more than 60 Egyptian doctors who are interested in learning the new methods of Restylane range of products.

The effect of treatment with Restylane® lasts PDF Print E-mail
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a premarket approval application (PMA) supplement for Restylane® based on clinical data showing that after one retreatment, Restylane has a persistent effect up to 18 months in 97% of patients. The PMA supplement was submitted by Medicis, Q-Med’s partner in North America.

A randomized, multicenter, evaluator-blinded study was conducted. The study assessed the long term efficacy and safety up to 18 months after initial treatment with Restylane®, using two different retreatment schedules for the correction of nasolabial folds (the folds from the nose down towards the mouth).

Oct, 2008: New study demonstrates that the effect seen after initial treatment with Restylane® persisted for up to 18 months with one repeat treatment. FDA approves PMA supplement for Restylane.

Brief summary
This is a randomized, multicenter, evaluator-blinded study, an interim analysis of a 30 month-study.The long term efficacy and safety up to 18 months with Restylane® was investigated with 2 different retreatment schedules for correction of nasolabial folds.
